In 1999, a winter sky at dusk in Marfa, Texas, brought me to my knees. A mild interest evolved into an obsession as I established my roots in Austin, TX. My work, grounded in figurative painting, began to shift as I became more connected to our natural environment. During droughts, I painted water. When I became a mother, I painted wide open spaces to hold me, to hold us, as we navigated our new lives. Now, as my family has expanded, my works hold enough space for the stories of others, as I paint the skies that continue to leave me breathless.

Captivated by the power and wonder of nature and humanity, I build worlds to investigate and celebrate the borderless spaces between people, cultures, nature, and time, honoring our collective potential.
