I create pieces that feel both playful and reverent. I am particularly interested in humanity’s instinct to search for patterns.
My work is rooted in the natural spaces of Central Texas that shaped my childhood. Influenced by my background in biology, I reinterpret familiar landscapes through vibrancy, amplified patterns, and nostalgia.
Working primarily in acrylic gouache, I create pieces that feel both playful and reverent. I am particularly interested in humanity’s instinct to search for patterns. My work explores how people assign meaning through repetition and recognition, even within the chaos of nature.
My current collection focuses on the swimming holes of Central Texas—what they once were and what they may never be again. I aim to capture the magical feeling of experiencing them for the first time. While this collection reflects childhood joy and reminiscence, it also calls attention to the environmental pressures facing our aquifers today.
